That car is incredibly '90s. Wow. More '90s than my car, even.

And those seats are made out of that fuzzy fabric that so many cars had back then (and should have again). Love it!

The ANTI-911. A rear-engined car with angular styling vs. Porsche's organic rounded styling.

I love these cars... the A610 even more than the GTA.

If I had all kinds of money to blow... I would love to put a well tuned, possibly twin-turbocharged, liquid-cooled flat-6 from a Subaru SVX in this car, in place of the PRV V6, and truly make it the anti-911.

It is sleeker and lighter weight than a similar rear-engine PRV-V6 powered DeLorean DMC12, also, due to composite body panels, rather than heavy stainless steel, but it doesn't have the dramatic gull-wing doors, though.

The Subaru EG33 is a robust 7-bearing engine based on the also strong EJ22 Turbo H4 in Subaru's 90's era rally cars, and inherently smoother running than any V6, especially an odd-firing 90-degree V6, compared to most 60-degree V6s. It also is less complex and thermally consistent than Porsche's air-cooling and heating air-management systems on 964 and 993, although it does require coolant plumbing, rather than a lot of metal engine shields and airflow ducting.

A true boxer flat-6 has no crank offset to account for a V bank angle, and runs as smooth as an I6 or a pair of I6s as a V12.

A Twin Turbo EG33 would likely be capable of 400+ horsepower and similar torque with a 7500RPM redline... with standalone engine management and some tuning, EG33s can exceed 300 horsepower without turbos at all, more than this upgraded and well tuned PVR V6.

The GTA is wonderful. I've only ever seen one and some low life stole it and set it on fire. It made the local papers.

France, though, is not a boy. La France, she is a girl.
